Treasures

Treasures are special items, usually obtained during certain events during Expeditions. They can grant Resources to spend during the Preparation Phase as well as additional passive effects. Treasures have a Rank, determined by their background color in the treasure list. Rank A treasures have a golden background, Rank B Treasures have a purple background, and Rank C Treasures have a blue background. This Rank gives a rough indication on how valuable the treasure is for the player.

NOTE: In the More to Explore expansion, all Treasures (except the ones obtained on the World Map) have been reworked to give more choice to the player. For their properties without the DLC installed, see Treasures (Base Game).

Whenever a Treasure with variable properties is obtained, the player is given a choice between a number of randomly selected properties. The player will select one property for the Treasure from among all choices given. A Treasure will always have either one or two choices selected from a Common Pool based on where the Treasure is found, each Expedition having its own Common Pool. (except for the Rank 1 Expeditions, who have a number of Common Pools) Rank A and Rank B Treasures will also have either one or two choices selected from a Unique Pool tailored specifically for that Treasure. The amount of choices from each pool is listed below. Common Pools are listed for each of the Treasure types, Unique Pools can be found on each Treasure's individual page.

These two Treasures are the only ones with fixed properties. The player has no choice in their effects.
